This course will cover basic topics of data visualization techniques for multiple data types, including volume rendering, surface reconstruction, interactive visualization, software-based visualization, hardware-based visualization, and data processing. The format of the course will be lectures, paper presentations, and project discussions. The class projects can be selected from a sample list provided by the instructor or proposed by a student.

Grades will be assigned on the basis of class discussions (10%), paper presentation (10%), three projects (20% each, 60% total), final presentation and report (10%), and final exam (10%).
