Virtual Environments Group

Amy Thinks
The Virtual Environments Group creates and studies immersive computer-generated experiences. Some of our current research interests include:
  • Software and System Support for Virtual Environments
  • Virtual Humans
  • 3D Human-Computer Interaction
  • Applications of Virtual Environments to Clinical Psychology
  • Assessment and Treatment of Balance Disorders in Virtual Environments

The Virtual Environments Group works in the Future Computing Labwhich is located in the Department of Computer Science at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.  The group is headed by Dr. Larry Hodges and is made up of a mix of faculty, graduate studies, undergraduate students, and visiting researchers who share the common goal of creating useful and usable virtual spaces that address real needs in society.  We are located on the second floor of Kennedy Building on the UNC-Charlotte campus.
