| Kennedy 206, Cathy Zanbaka has
been chosen to participate in the 2005 Young Investigator's
Forum in Virtual Reality, held this year in Pohang, Korea. The
forum is held each year for a small group of advances Ph.D.
students to present their thesis research and discuss the
future directions of Virtual Reality and its related
technologies in free form discussion. Only ten students
worldwide are chosen to participate each year. All their
expenses to attend the forum are covered.

FALL FCL Picnic
We will be having the FCL FALL Picnic on Sunday, September 19, at Dr. Hodges house from 5 until 9.
Sab and Dr. Hodges will be grilling chicken marinated in “Sab’s special sauceTM”.
Jonathan will organize the rest of us to bring one side dish each.

Tuesday, April 20th
Summer Internships
Kennedy 206, Three students, Cathy Zanbaka, Srinivasa Rao and Raj Inugala, of the Future Computing Lab have been selected as summer interns by various firms.
Cathy Zanbaka will be working at the Naval Research Lab in Washington D.C. She will be involved with their VR Lab and will be conducting a user-centered evaluation of our AR system.
Raj Inugala will be working at TIAA-CREF as a IT Project Management Intern. He will be closely involved with their Server Management Group.
And Srinivasa Rao will be at Rhythm this summer from June 2nd to end of August.

Field Trip to Lake Norman
Kennedy 206, Amy Ulinski and Cathy Zanbaka have organized a cook-out at Lake Norman on the 17th of April. Interested people may email Cathy / Amy before 12:00 noon April 17th.
